Founder Jeff Stauffer launched Middlebury Recycling Facilities (MRF) in July 2014 after 15 years of working as the Continuous Improvement/Recycling Manager at Jayco, Inc. During his tenure, Jeff significantly expanded the recycling operation to the point where it could have operated as its own independent company. And that’s precisely what happened. In October 2014, Jeff started his independent business operations at a facility in Bristol, Indiana. A year later, Jeff’s son, Chris, joined MRF as a sales associate, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey. With Chris’s involvement, MRF successfully onboarded many more local businesses, diverting millions of pounds of recyclable materials such as cardboard and plastic away from landfills.
Since our origination, we’ve continually expanded our capabilities and forged partnerships with an increasing number of companies committed to reducing their environmental impact. In September 2022, following the outgrowth of our Bristol facility, we relocated our operations to Goshen, Indiana. As a company in constant evolution, we are steadfast in our commitment to learning and growing with you. Our unwavering pursuit is to recycle as many materials as possible as part of our ongoing mission to protect and preserve our planet.
